Thank you; I quite enjoyed writing this.

You've constructed two articles on this statement: "Progressives who believe that - ‘I am perfect, and so everything that goes wrong in life is due to outside influences’"

You should really provide some evidence or insight into why you think this is true. Genuinely interested why you would think this...

Well that’s not exactly an endorsement of democracy

Great read Simon. So here is my burning question... why do people believe their ideology is the only possible choice?

That I don't appreciate, beyond either arrogance or indoctrination. Perhaps fear as well? As in, an inability to accept changing one's mind which in turn might link back their perfectionism. I just can't fully comprehend it - even as someone who holds well-held views, I am aware there are many other choices and perspectives, which is why free speech, debate, and discussion are so critical.

Thanks Simon... this helps my logical mind sort through the chaos of our times.

It would seem that indoctrination at an early age shapes and creates a particular worldview. What concerns me is we have allowed leftist ideology into our education system.

When you think about it the evidence for this is rife and we only need to look at the last two terms of government to see how people with a particular ideology that isn't based on practicality or detail can ruin the future prospects of a nation.

And when we look back at the lack of scholastic achievement & truancy of the last few years, we have already sown the seeds of our future misfortune as they become voters & politicians devoid of rational or critical thinking.
