You're doing a better job outside of government than in Simon. No wonder they poured cold water on you ;)

There is a sad irony in that I am now freer to write and speak than when in parliament (where you are supposedly meant to be the freest, with all those ancient rights and privileges). It's why being outside is much better :)

Thanks for your continued advocacy work in this space, Simon! It has been baffling for citizens like myself to see this continued pouring of 'cold water' on these serious issues.

Well articulated Simon. It is a similar situation with the Manurewa Marae debacle, election irregularities, and associated mishandling of funds, conflicts of interest. All this sweeping under the carpet goes against everything I thought this country stood for.

yes, this is another good example with my choices certainly not an exhaustive list!

I agree fully that important incidents get swept under the carpet. I’ve always blamed the media for not reporting better. Looks as if it’s our governing that’s pathetic, imagine. We need to have better lines of communication to seeing recourse on so many things.

In many of the instances I write about, I would actually give credit to media for trying to keep a focus. Not in all and every case, but for example, they are still writing pieces around the police issues ... although this is starting to fade as the political cold water continues.

Because most politicians are more interested in staying in power than actually doing anything, so they kowtow to the bureaucrats in their departments who tell them what they cant do

I think too, a desire to only confront the good - and so any bad news needs to be swept away quickly.

Did Ardern lie to the nation about the Pfizer vaccine being safe and effective (medsafe had told her it wasn't) then go on to blow $66b (revised up to $74.4b) on covid, leaving a once financially comfortable nation in tatters, to stay in power?

And is Luxon leaving the Aussie oligopolies making obscene profit margins in NZ, perpetuating the NZ cost of living crisis, and forcing Kiwis to leave their beloved country, once touted as the least corrupt, to stay in power?

Gary Stevenson economics asks why so many modern ex politicians (like Ardern) are wealthy?

Hasn't this been par for the course for decades if not centuries! Cover ups, bias, favouritism, along with trial & disinformation by the media!

Should we not just call out Government as a whole, along with a myriad of Govt departments!

Whilst someone will get arrested for hurting someone's feelings, crimes of corruption & misuse of power go unpunished!

Democracy is no silver bullet whilst man is fallen & indulges his fallen nature & proclivities!

We are facing a 'moral, spiritual & truth' crisis in New Zealand & the world, because we have lost sight of God's Will as elucidated by Scripture & Jesus himself!

We are 'playing' religion, NOT living it! We have turned religion into theatre & a 'show', NOT the pathway to 'God's Kingdom, His Righteousness & His Justice'! Mt 7:13-14, 24-27

Our word & deed are not one, & our understanding of God's Will has become shallow, non-existent, as far as affecting the culture is concerned! Hosea 4:6, Mt 28:18-20

Frankly, Christians nor the rest of humanity have a clue to what they are supposed to be DOING according to the Will of God! Mt 7:21-23, Mt 15:8-9, Rom 3:10-18, Rev 3:1-3

What's the point of 'knowing' Scripture if we don't apply it to our lives & our society in any meaningful way! Mt 28:18-20

No one is saved by 'faith' alone! That is just another religious myth! James 2:14-26, Rom 2:13, Phil 2:12, Lk 8:21, Rev 20:12, Rev 3:1-3, 15-17, Rev 2-3, Mt 7:21-23, Mt 8:10-12, Mt 3:7-10, Mt 7:19, Mt 13:18-23, Heb 10:26-31, Heb 5:8-14, Rom 8:17, Rom 7:21-23, Rom 8:21-23

The Fall was man disobeying God's Word in the Garden! The remedy is man obeying God's Word in this age we are living in NOW! Deut 4, 1 Sam 15:22-23, Jn 14:21-24, Jn 12:47-48

Here is the Biblical Template we must implement:

Mt 6:33, Mt 6:10, Mt 28:18-20, Jn 17:20-23 => Ezek 37:7-10 => Ezra 1, Hag 1:12-15 => Is 9:6-7, Dan 7:27, Rev 5:10, 1 Peter 2:4-10 => Gen 1:27-28 = God's Kingdom!

This is the responsibility of those who are God's sons & daughters, Jesus' brothers & sisters! Mt 12:46-50. Not those who just believe! James 1:22-25

Otherwise it will be, "I never knew you, depart from me you evildoers,"! Mt 7:23

Dan 11:32 "He shall 'seduce with flattery' those who 'violate the covenant*'; but the people who KNOW their God shall STAND FIRM and TAKE ACTION"!

*Don't keep God's Word!

Don't expect to be with Jesus in Paradise if we don't do anything, ACT! Mt 10:38-39, Mt 12:46-50

My question to you Simon is WHY?

Why are politicians who have the wellbeing and advancement of NZ citizens at heart, covering for the cheats and liars?

Is the root of all evil at play?

The gangs and Karel Sroubeck did a roaring trade, wastewater analysis showed drug use sky rocketed, and gang members outnumbered police, whilst Ardern and Costner were in charge. WHY?

AI says the aupposedly deported, Clark Gayford connected, convicted drug dealer Sroubeck is still in NZ? Again, WHY?

A good question and one I cannot easily answer, simply as I don't know. Partly it is that those in power only want good news stories. The other, around China, is the fear of trade retaliation and that buys silence.

Increased gang numbers, drugs, and crime and the largest covid spend in the world for Labour.

Ongoing world beating Aussie owned supermarket, energy, insurance, and banking profits causing a cost of living crisis and a record number of Kiwis giving up and heading to Oz for National.

Are not good news stories but are still supported by the respective parties.

WHY?

When I weas young I worked with my father and, being on a strugg;ling farm in the mid 50s, there was plenty that went wrong. One day I said aren't you worried. No he said. "it's all the same in a hundered years" At 84,that is my mantra. But today, it's more like three months, and that is a big difference!

It’s a horrible and frustrating feeling knowing these crimes are being pushed under the carpet! The media and the government are very much at fault- trying to speak to them seems to go unheard! I feel for the future of our kids if this all can’t be changed!!
